MAIN FUNCTIONS
- The Operations Coordinator will provide top tier support to the company, its clients and other stakeholders in all aspects of operations (Logistics, Recruitment and Business Development).
- Work closely with Operations leadership to understudy and receive knowledge applicable to tasks and responsibilities for long term succession planning within the robust oil and gas sector of Guyana. This includes the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) and other related international frameworks.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality control, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations including Local Content Compliance, training and recertification efforts
- Play an active role with emergency response planning and execution. Will be required to rotate emergency on-call mobile phone with other personnel.
- Will be required to perform site visits to clients, ports, shore bases and other facilities related to Oil and Gas operations
- Develop and implement efficient operational processes and procedures to optimize productivity and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Collaboration with internal team to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and resolve operational challenges within the business environment.
- Provide support for in-country initiatives related to local content reporting, annual audits and recertification efforts
- Support the Business Development team by attending meetings in-person and online as needed with potential and existing clients.
- Knowledge or previous experience dealing with Visa & Immigration entry and exit protocols, especially applicable to seafarers/offshore workers is an advantage
- Generate operational progress reports and forecasts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- 3+ years’ experience in an operations role encompassing Logistics, Client Relations, Crew Change Management and Process Development.
- A degree or diploma in a related area of study would be advantageous
- Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry inclusive of Local Content guidelines is desired
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to create and deliver company presentations and speak publicly
- Efficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, email and CRM platforms such as Monday CRM (must be trainable)
- Resourceful and well-networked locally
